"Flaming Idiots", written by Tom Rooney, is a contemporary, fast-paced farce about two friends (Carl and Phil) who leave the post office to open up a gourmet restaurant. They have no idea what they're doing and when business begins to flounder they hatch a plot for someone to get murdered inside the restaurant in order to boost attendance. It worked for Zippy's, a neighboring restaurant, when a mob boss was whacked there, why couldn't it work for them? Packed with quirky characters including a busboy with a thick Spanish accent, yet who claims to be a Norwegian national, a deaf chef, a waiter who's waiting for his big break as a theatre actor, a drunk flirtatious journalist, a clueless mounted patrol officer, and a senile hit-man.
