Poetry & Collage Workshop
Write a poem and make a collage. Using a playful approach to writing, we'll compose an autobiographical poem. Visualization, brainstorming, and drawing will be used to get the ideas flowing. We'll explore poetry tools such as metaphor and anaphora (pattern) to create a vivid and compelling piece of writing.
The poems will serve as the foundation of a collage. We'll use a variety of papers, including handmade papers from India, to create juicy mixed media pieces. Combining word and image, the creative possibilities are infinite!
Bring scissors.
