Lights Up! Playwrights Take the Stage
Playwrights Project invites you to Lights Up! Playwrights Take the Stage as we announce the winners of the California Young Playwrights Contest! Be the first to find out which student playwrights will have their scripts produced in the 38th Plays by Young Writers Festival in January 2023.
This informal in-person reception takes place at the City Heights/Weingart Library's Performance Annex and features brief conversation with the playwrights (who may be virtually joining in). We will also celebrate the finalists and semi-finalists of the California Young Playwrights Contest and give an exclusive sneak peak into the winning scripts!
Tickets are free; reservations are required. Online reservations will close 12 hours prior the event.
**COVID-19 Health & Safety Guidelines**
All attendees are required to wear a mask over their mouth and nose while inside the Performance Annex. While outdoors, masks are not required but they are strongly encouraged.
If you or anyone in your party tests positive for COVID-19 or are exhibiting symptoms similar to COVID-19, we request that you refrain from attending.
