This reimagining of "Mixed Doubles" by George Feydeau explores the vaudeville style of physical comedy, and integrates contemporary dance choreographies to make Feydeau's universe explode. By casting across gender (male-female, non-binary) the production challenges the misogyny in the writing, while a feminist & decolonial lens invites students to explore questions about the relevance, problems, and potential for subversion of such profoundly colonial texts.
