IT'S ORCA RECOVERY DAY!
Join us as we restore critical habitat for salmon (the Orcas primary food source) along Curley Creek. Kitsap Conservation District has joined with dozens of other partners across Washington State who are hosting events that restore habitat and reduce stormwater pollution. Everyone can do something to help save orcas, one of the most iconic species of the Pacific Northwest. You can sign-up at one of over 60 events that are being held on October 15, 2022 as part of a statewide coordination of events known as Orca Recovery Day.
This event is FREE. RSVP using Brown Paper Tickets.
Volunteer work will include using a tool like a shovel to grub out blackberry root balls and install native plants. Please bring a pair of work gloves and your own snacks and water. We will provide the tools. We hope to see you there!
