Founded on Oyster Shells

FOUNDED ON OYSTER SHELLS is a fundraiser sponsored by the New Amsterdam Public Market Association. Proceeds will be applied towards holding a monthly purveyor's market in the City of New York, to commence in 2009. The monthly market will serve as the foundation for a permanent, year-round public market dedicated to supporting regional agriculture and food production.

FOUNDED ON OYSTER SHELLS will be held in the f/ocus Rental Gallery, a beautiful ground floor loft in Hell's Kitchen, Manhattan. Event goers will partake in East Coast oysters on the half-shell, served by expert shuckers; brewer's bread and butter; locally brewed stout and ale; fish chowder; baked winter beans; house-made pickles and kraut; and more, all sourced from the Region and prepared by excellent cooks.

TICKETS: (ADVANCE PURCHASE IS REQUIRED)

All tickets include generous servings of fish chowder, brewer's bread and butter, fresh pickles and kraut, and locally brewed beer.

The $50 ticket includes 7 oysters;

The $100 ticket includes unlimited oysters;

And for those who can, please consider sponsoring this event as a Patron. The sponsorship is $500 and includes two tickets for Oysters Unlimited.

Oysters will also be available by the piece.
