A Tribute to Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers
Please join us for an evening of classic jazz featuring the music of Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers, one of the all-time best groups from the post-bop era. This group will be spearheaded by two Jazz Messenger alum, saxophonist Bill Pierce, and drummer John Ramsay. Rounding out the group will be Greg Hopkins on trumpet, Dan Fox on trombone, Consuelo Candelaria on piano, and Greg Ryan on bass.
The award-winning Arlington High School jazz band will perform an opening set.
