Velvet City Dance presents Sweat Prints, choreographed by Carly Cherone in collaboration with the dancers. Sweat Prints explores the rediscovery of socialization and connection after COVID. Throughout the pandemic, VCD dancers adapted to small spaces and dancing for film. This story reflects the environment in which it was created. Inspired by Wayne Shorter's playful waltz Footprints, the piece incorporates smooth and natural movement, dashed with a bit of the unpredictable and exciting. Rehearsing this piece not only felt like learning how to dance again, but learning how to dance together again.

Emerging Artists returns with their one-of-a-kind festival. Visit the theater any evening during this three-week event, and you'll find yourself transported in a number of surprising ways: by a single performer embodying a whole host of characters; by a more experimental theater piece "done differently" that challenges and delights; by a cozy two-person show exploring relationships; or perhaps by a bouncy new musical that will have you humming. Emerging Artists has always been about new works, new talents, new voices. That's never been more evident than now.
NO REFUNDS will be granted.
