2022 Napa Valley ONS EDUCATION SYMPOSIUM
Please join our annual Oncology Nursing Fall Symposium on Saturday 17,2022.
The theme for this event is Oncology Nursing Care in the Palliative Care Setting.
We are excited to announce the keynote speaker,
Angelo Volandes, MD. He is a writer and lecturer at Harvard University Medical School, well known for his emphasis on patient-centered care. His lecture is titled, Resilience: Finding the Meaning of Life and Death in Healthcare.
Additional speakers:
Teresa Knoop, MSN, RN, AOCN will present a Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy update
Renita Vance, MSN, RN Will present on the topic of Cardio-Oncology and Survivorship
Karen Stilwell, MSN, RN, AOCNS Communication and Health Literacy in Palliative Care
Amy Dee, RN will present on Your Power to Make a Difference
This will be a day of learning and networking for Oncology RNs and other healthcare professionals interested in Palliative Care. There will be many pharmacy sponsors available all day to answer questions and learn about chemotherapeutic agents.There will be some fun activities as we have raffles with prizes. Breakfast and lunch will be provided and you can earn 5 CEU for CA Board of Registered Nursing.
This is NVONS 10 year anniversary. We will include a small celebration to mark this significant date. We hope you will join us.
