CATS: Young Actors Edition

DMR Adventures is one of the first programs in the USA to pilot Andrew Lloyd Webbers CATS Young Actors Edition! Join the talented cast of young people in 5th-12th grades as they perform this visionary production, Directed by Celena Cox with Music Direction by Xavier Taylor and Choreography by Katie Wall.
CATS is set amongst a larger-than-life playground and is alive with purr-fect felines, including Rum Tum Tugger, Mr. Mistoffelees, Macavity, Jennyanydots, Old Deuteronomy, Skimbleshanks and Grizabella. The Jellicle Cats come out to play on one special night of the yearthe night of the Jellicle Ball. One by one, they tell their stories for the amusement of Old Deuteronomy, their wise and benevolent leader, who must choose one of the Cats to ascend to The Heaviside Layer and be reborn into a whole new Jellicle life. This production is CATS as you've never seen it before, a modern retelling drawing inspiration from the excess of our times, and a host of famous internet cats!
This INDOOR performance will take place at the Belmont Arts Collaborative (221 Carlton Road, Suite 3, Charlottesville, VA 22902 - in Kathy's shopping Center).
SEATING:
- Seating will begin 30 minutes before the performance. Please do not attempt to enter prior to 30 minutes before the performance.
MASKS:
- Masks are required for all patrons, no matter your vaccination status. See additional note regarding performer masking
CHECK-IN:
-Patrons will present their name to the box office assistant at check-in, but also please have you digital ticket in your possession.
LATE ARRIVAL:
- Latecomers who arrive after the performance time may not be seated. Late seating is at the discretion of the house manager.
RUN-TIME:
- The performance will run approx. 90 minutes.

FOOD/DRINK:
- There will be limited options for food and drink. We ask that all food/drink be consumed outside.
FILMING:
- Due to the license for this show, filming of any kind is not prohibited. No filming will be allowed and the performance will not be live streamed.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Performers (all vaccinated) may be wearing masks, unmasked, or face shields. No one else is allowed to unmask in the building.
STANDBY POLICY
If you'd like to buy tickets for a sold out performance, you can join the standby line, which will begin no earlier than 30 minutes before show time. Unclaimed tickets will begin to be released no earlier than 5 minutes before the show begins. Anyone wishing to buy unclaimed tickets MUST stay physically in line, and no single person may buy more than 2 tickets. There will be no list in writing and it will be impossible to get tickets for the sold out performance more than 5 minutes before the show begins. Being in the standby line does not guarantee you will get a ticket, but we will do our best to accommodate as many people as possible.
