CENTRAL ARKANSAS ROLLER DERBY
Central Arkansas Roller Derby
Ice, Ice Derby on Jan. 18
(Little Rock) All right stop. Collaborate and DERBY.
On Saturday, Jan. 18, Little Rock's most established roller derby league will continue Season 7 with a bone-chilling bout against the Sisterhood of Steel from Poteau, Okla.
This bout has a wintry, "Ice Ice Derby" theme and a portion of the proceeds will go to Access Schools, an organization providing resources for Arkansas children and youths with learning disorders and other special needs.
Central Arkansas Roller Derby has been in existence since 2006, but this year the league has compiled a new team of skaters we're calling them Queens who will take the flat track in this fast-paced, electric game on wheels.
If you'd like a quick and easy explanation of roller derby or an interview with few of our passionate, well-spoken skaters, email prcontact@cearderby.com.
Admission is $10. Children 10 and under get in free. Drinks and concessions will be available for purchase at the snack bar during this event. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.; bout begins at 7 p.m. Come early and choose a seat on the floor for an up close view of the action. Roller derby is a family friendly sport and all ages are welcome.
Skate World is located at 6512 Mabelvale Cut Off in Little Rock. For more information about Central Arkansas Roller Derby or this event, go to www.littlerockrollerderby.com.
