EXTEND: CYC/Cora Youth Company in Concert 2022
Friday, May 27 - Saturday, May 28, 2022, Cora Dance presents three inspiring opportunities to witness the artistry of our CYC/Cora Youth Company dancers in EXTEND: CYC/Cora Youth Company in Concert 2022. Chosen through open auditions, CYC companies are select groups of Cora's most dedicated and talented young performers who learn and present the works of a diverse array of choreographers. Under the direction of Youth Advancement Programs Director, Ammara Shafqat, EXTEND is a joyful reemergence of the CYC program after a two year hiatus due to COVID-19. The evening features student artists performing works that encompass humor, heartache, elegance, power, and unity created by 2022 Professional Student Apprentices Anaïs Dallett and Z'Yanah Gonzalez; professional choreographers Shannon Hummel, Junie Marsh, and Ammara Shafqat; and 2022 Guest Artist Mateo Vidals. Audience members are strongly encouraged to purchase tickets in advance because seating will be limited.
*A closing night reception follows the final Saturday performance where Cora will honor those of our students, faculty, staff, and board who have achieved milestones this year!

Tickets go on sale April 22, 2022 for CYC families and April 30, 2022 for the General Public.
