This is a great introduction to this inspiring edible gardening technique where we are part of the Wildlife!
Learn about this ecological gardening technique to grow our food, meet many human needs and increase wildlife. Based on principles found in nature, forest gardens will need less and less work over the years whilst providing more and more yields. Amazing!
Whether you are interested in green issues, wildlife, re-wilding, wellbeing or responding to climate change.
We will cover: Regenerative Food growing techniques. Permaculture and food growing. Growing food for biodiversity, wellbeing and climate action inspired by Permaculture. How to think like a Forest. Design, implementation, maintenance.
Taking Climate action, increasing biodiversity and wellbeing, producing food.
This course has evolved over the last 14 years.

Led by experienced Forest Garden designer, Forager and Gardener Jo Barker with decades of passion and experience plus a background as a professional Landscape Architect.  Supported by Helen Smith who maintains and develops the Windmill Community Forest Garden Margate for families and small children.

Hosted by the amazing and award winning Abbey Physic Community Garden, East Kent Permaculture Learning Centre. They have a dedicated Forest Garden area, in reality the whole garden is a wonderful example of a Food Forest.

A stand alone day that also forms part of the Forest Garden / Food Forest 2022 Series.
