The Real Roots Story: Planting Bare Root Trees
Robert Kourik roots out many commonly-held false notions about these essential subterranean penetrations, to reveal how to properly choose and plant a bare root tree. Kourik hosts a talk that will illustrate how tree roots really grow, revealing amazing facts, such as a tree's root mass often grows up to three times wider than its foliage canopy.
With the drought here it's time to take a proactive stance, and this talk will provide information about using water wisely when planting bare root trees. Infrequent drip irrigation and the interaction of soils, roots, and water will be discussed. Come join us, rain or shine.
