Travis Cyr has been creating art throughout Maine for the past twenty years. Currently based in the great north Maine woods, he has self recorded and released 5 full length albums in the past 15 months. His songs are a gentle mix of cerebral, folk balladry and spacey, roots music. His lyrics are honest and vivid and full of heart. He has been performing live since 2001 and has since played over 1,800 shows across Maine (and beyond). He has broken over 3,137 strings (aprox.) He has championed Maine music and arts as the founder of the Arootsakoostik Music festival. He is proud to have shared the stage and worked with John Hammond, Ellis Paul, Brown Bird, Toughcats, Ghost of Paul Revere, Mallett Brothers band, members of Old Crow Medicine Show and many more.
