FamJam Series: Child & Caregiver Sessions for Ages 2-7
Facilitated by Elementary & Early Childhood Music Specialist Kaya MartÃnez
Hosted by Annette West Music Studio (uptown near Tipitina's)
This 5-week series is designed for families to explore listening, singing, moving, playing and creating together in a small group setting. All sessions integrate hand percussion and time is allowed for exploration and improvisation. The carefully selected and diverse repertoire emphasizes positive vibrations drawn from Blues, Jazz, Latin grooves and sounds of African diaspora along with favorites from the Crescent City soundscape.
A Note on Attendance: Ideally, registrants' schedules will permit them to enjoy all 5 of the sessions together; however, families may register for the series even if they know they will have to miss one.
