Kitchen Garden Workshop
Tennessee Organic Growers Association is holding a Welcome Spring workshop on Saturday, April 30th at Delvin Farms Certified Organic Farm from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30.
Cindy Shapton will be our guest speaker who will walk you through the joys of creating a Kitchen Gardens to use throughout the season. Enjoy having basil, rosemary, parsley and edible flowers at your fingertips to snip while preparing your meals. Participants will create a potted garden to take home with them. The cost of the workshop is $40.00.
Cindy has shared her extensive knowledge of plants and herbs with us at our TOGA conference, and now is your chance to hear her speak on herbs, their uses as food, and medicine. She will delight you with her knowledge of edible flowers as you create your own "Kitchen Garden of herbs and flowers" to take home with you.
Cindy Shapton is a writer, speaker, herbalist, floral designer, and farmer. When she is not speaking and writing, she works growing herbs and flowers on her farm, Fernvale Herb and Flower Farm, near Franklin, TN. She also teaches classes on growing food, herbs, arranging flowers, making remedies and foraging for native food and medicine on her farm.
The class will be held at Delvin Farms Certified Organic Farm 6361 Cox Road, Arrington, TN.
