Afternoon w/ Poet Thomas Lynch
Spend an afternoon with Thomas Lynch, the Michigan poet w/ an international reputation for his poetry, essays and stories of life (& death), at UrbanBeat, 1213 Turner Street in Lansing's Old Town, Sunday, March 20, 3-5 PM. Lynch is one of the most articulate chroniclers of the American immigrant experience due to his Irish-American heritage and extensive work in Ireland. He is the author of 5 books of essays, a book of short fiction & 5 books of poetry. Food & beverages available. Masks advised except when eating/drinking. Sponsored by the Michigan Institute for Contemporary Art (MICA), the RCAH Center for Poetry at MSU, and the Lansing Poetry Club. Tickets $10; students FREE
