Helltown - A Comedy Showcase
Welcome to Helltown, a weekly comedy show case featuring the best local and professional comedians from across the country. Each week Bombs Away! Comedy presents 3 featuring comedians and 1 headliner, all of whom are comedians we love and can't wait for you to see. If you have ever wanted to say "I saw them when" this is your 'when'.
Why Helltown?
In the late 1800s, our beloved community of #Northside45223 was nicknamed Helltown, because of the immigrant and unwelcome population and its rowdy bars. It was seen as a negative moniker. At Bombs Away! We believe that the unwelcome, the rapscallions, the neer-do-wells and the rowdy taverns are what make Northside home.
This weekly show is hosted by Wayne Memmott and Bridget Denman
March 26th Showcase
Headliner - Chris Weir
Chris Weir is a stand-up comedian, writer & illustrator from Kentucky/Cincinnati, Ohio. Chris is the winner of the 2014 Funniest Person in Cincinnati Contest and is a writer & performer for the live, sketch show Future Science. He recently recorded with On Tour Records and can be heard on Sirius XM radio, Soundcloud, & Spotify. Chris recently performed at Yuck Fest and is an annual performer at the Brew Ha-Ha Comedy Festival and has opened for comics such as Tom Segura, Nikki Glaser, Chad Daniels, Tony Woods and Andy Kindler.
Chris will be recording his debut comedy album April 9th at Go Bananas Comedy Club

Show Details
Time - 7:30PM, Seating at 6:30
Tickets - This show is pay what you want. When you reserve your seats, you are able to pay what you would like for the show. Want a free show? We won't judge you! We will also accept cash, credit, venmo, and cashapp at the door

The Venue - The Comet, one of Northside's oldest bars, has two beautiful stages. As long as the weather is cooperating, the show will be on The Grotto Stage, and outdoor stage behind The Comet. If weather is inclement, we will be inside at the Comet Stage. We will email people with reservations instructions day of the show.

The Venue does not have a dedicated parking lot, but if you require handicap parking please email us at info@bombsawaycomedy.com with your request and we can reserve a parking space in front of the venue.
Shows at the Comet Stage (inside) there is one small step to enter the venue.
Shows at the Grotto Stage (outside) are accessible without any steps. However there are steps entering and exiting the venue to get to the bar.
