Do you love travel? Are you a better person for having traveled? If yes and yes, then we invite you to come out for Blue Rendezvous to support the hostels exceptional education programs. Your contribution will have a direct impact on 1500 local students and over 45 local partner teachers. Help us create caring world citizens. Together we can create a more peaceful planet one student at a time.
EVENT: Enjoy an evening of cocktails including a wine tasting hosted by Wine Styles, hors d'oeuvres and entertainment. Shop and donate at the same time in our silent auction. Get a tour of the two-years-running Best Large Hostel in the World.
TICKETS: $100/person. brownpapertickets.com is by far the cheapest secure online ticketing service available, you will be charged and additional $3.49 for the transaction per ticket.
THE CAUSE: Your support is essential to enabling the hostels educational programs to thrive. The hostel targets high schools and community-based organizations that are the most under-served and lacking in resources. We go where the need is great. Teachers do not pay to receive training in our curricula, nor do students pay to participate in our programs. Therefore, without your contributions these students and teachers will not be able to participate.
The current program and hostel needs are substantial in Chicago, and you can make a difference today in the lives of our students and travelers. Every day travelers from around the world stay at the hostel, and our educators are out in the community. The work that we do in Chicago today makes the world a better place for tomorrow. I encourage you to invest in our collective futures by supporting our efforts to create caring world citizens.
LOCATION: Hostelling International Chicago is located downtown at Congress and Wabash, 24 E Congress Parkway, Chicago, Illinois. Go green and take public transportation conveniently located within a block of the hostel. If you drive, parking is available at a number of parking lots less than a block away.
ATTIRE: The hostel is not uptight about what you wear to the event. Get dressed up, you will not be alone. Dress down, no problem. All we ask is that you feel comfortable, look good and have fun.
NONPROFIT: Hostelling International Chicago is an Illinois nonprofit and an IRS 501(c)(3) qualified organization. For tax deductibility purposes, the fair market value of your ticket is $60 each, and therefore $40 of each ticket is deductible.
THANK YOU for your support! Together we can create caring world citizens through education and build a more peaceful future for the world.
