When it comes to grapes, winemaker Matthew Rorick loves a longshot.
Like a salmon swimming upstream, he heads in the opposite direction of most
winemakers, seeking out uncommon varietals from unknown appelations, to see what he
can make from these forgotten vineyards. In our opinion, his magic wand never misses.
