FASTER-HIGHER-STRONGER-STRAIGHTER
Scéalta Móra Proudly present the World Premier of:
FASTER-HIGHER-STRONGER-STRAIGHTER A NEW PLAY BY DAMIEN TRACEY
The Dominion Studio (Upstairs at the Dominion Theatre) | January 20th-25th | 8.00pm| "Tonight it truly feels like this city, this world will change forever."
Set in London 2012 and Russia 2014 FASTER-HIGHER-STRONGER-STRAIGHTER tells the story of Darragh and Pahval, both gay and both performing in the Olympic Opening Ceremony.
In a night where the whole world will be watching, the overpowering emotion, energy and sense of change will sweep over Pahval, Darragh and everyone around them leaving behind it a devastating trail of broken debris.
Faster-Higher-Stronger-Straighter takes an unflinching look at the attitudes and battles of gay people in two of the world's most culturally relevant cities. For Darragh, despite the joy of living in a wonderfully diverse and accepting culture, he is as much of a prisoner as Pahval whose culture and environment couldn't be further from the bright lights of London. Faster-Higher-Stronger-Straighter also examines the relationship between fathers and their sons and the role our cultures play whether we like it or not. For one father and son it will be a night of Restoration and for the other it will be a night of Abolition. Written by Damien Tracey and presented by Scéalta Móra. Faster-Higher-Stronger-Straighter will be told with the same vigour, intensity and humour that made the companies Inaugural production Warde Street the Five Star run away smash of the 2013 Camden Fringe Festival. Scéalta Móra is also delighted to be partnering with the Russian LGBT foundation where all of the shows profits will be donated.
