Film Screening: "AKA Doc Pomus" with filmmaker Sharyn Felder
Paralyzed with polio as a child, Brooklyn-born Jerome Felder reinvented himself first as a blues singer renaming himself Doc Pomus, then emerged as a one of the most brilliant songwriters of the early rock and roll era.
"AKA Doc Pomus" features Lou Reed, Dr. John, songwriting team Leiber & Stoller, and a host of other iconic artists whose lives were impacted by the big-hearted genius that was Doc Pomus.
The film will be presented by filmmaker Sharyn Felder who will host a Q&A after the film.
