Life Is A Many-Storied Thing: A Storytelling Workshop
It's you, up on stage regaling a packed house of adoring fans with the epic tale of your first French kiss. Let author and Moth Grand Slam Winner Margot Leitman share her tips for turning embarrassing, strange or even mundane experiences into comedic gold. In this one day class, you'll learn how to find what's funny in your foibles, structure a compelling story and connect solidly with your audience. By the end of the class, you'll walk away with the start of a fantastic story that you could tell in one of LA's many storytelling shows, such as The Moth, Sit-n-Spin, Taboo Tales, or Risk. A call from Ira Glass to follow. Instructor: Margot Leitman Tuesday, January 28, 2014 07:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. Cost: $80 (Includes snacks and tea) Location: Writing Pad East (688 S Santa Fe Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90021)
