Winter Solstice Circle
Join us for an in-person circle to honor the Winter Solstice. We will come together for movement, meditation, and ways of relating to plants that help us be in harmony with the qi of the season. We will make a healing tea blend together that participants will take home with them, and at the end of the circle we will host an optional potluck to celebrate this magical moment in the year.
This gathering will be held in a secluded and beautiful part of the SF East Bay Area, location will be shared upon registration.
The energy exchange for this offering is $50. Partial to full scholarships are available for BIPOC, please email us to inquire.
COVID safety: To keep all participants safe, we ask that everyone be vaccinated. The event will be held outdoors and you are welcome (though not required) to wear a mask, in accordance with suggested CDC guidelines that have deemed most outdoor activities to be relatively safe. If guidelines or COVID safety considerations change, we will inform participants ASAP.
Accessibility: We will walk together on a moderately sloped and uneven trail for less than 10 minutes to reach the gathering location.
About the facilitators:
Kathleen Lucas (she/her) is a Certified Massage Therapist, Feng Shui Practitioner, and Teacher based in the Bay Area. Her private practice is located in Berkeley, where she utilizes tui na, acupressure, shiatsu, and reflexology to treat a variety of complaints.
Kathleen comes from a family of martial artists, has studied dance for several years, and has a regular movement practice. She loves facilitating the expansion that bodywork can bring forth. Get in touch at itsqi.com
Rebekah Sze-Tung Olstad (she/her) is a community and clinical herbalist based in Huichuin Ohlone Territory, Oakland CA. She has a private practice where she supports people one-on-one, teaches workshops, and makes herbal remedies. She is grateful to the plant world and the healing plants can bring to our communities.
