SVPT Presents: Blackout
Blackout, by Gary Lennon

This production of Gary Lennons Blackout seeks to stretch the socio-cultural borders of Lennons setting, a NYC Alcoholics Anonymous meeting during the 1990s. All cultural, gender, & sexual identities are encouraged to audition. We are looking to specifically highlight BIPOC, LGBTQ+, Queer, Non-Binary, & Gender Non-Conforming actors, embodying the intersectional experiences & voices of alcoholics & addicts in recovery. Though this production of Blackout represents 12-Step culture, it is not specifically affiliated with the Alcoholic Anonymous program, nor does it endorse/oppose it. We hope to share the story of alcoholics & addicts with a tour-de-force landscaping an almost graffitied-mural of that grimy, visceral not-so-distant urban past.
