Intro to musical improvisation
In this whistle-stop tour of the basics of musical improvisation, you will be introduced to the core skills of melody and lyrics, rhyming and choruses, leading to the ability to create basic songs on any topic right there on the spot. In a supportive and nurturing environment, come feel the liberation and magic of making it up!
Tutors:
Katy Schutte - of the Maydays, Project 2 and Katy and Rach. Co-devised and performed in 'Who ya gonna call?' and director of 'The Watery Journey of Nereus Pike.'
Jules Munns - co-founder of the Nursery and Artistic Director of Slapdash International. Performs with the Maydays and Ten Thousand Million Love Stories, director of Impromptu Shakespeare.
