Tandem Pairings V: Roussillon!
The Roussillon is old-world wine and living, the way it oughta be. The region is in the far southeast corner of France, but you'll be better off calling the people there Catalan. That's the language they speak, the food they love, and the rustic, mixed culture they create. When they take a trip into "the city", they're talking about Barcelona, not Paris.
Dan Kravitz, of Handpicked Selections, focuses on wines of tremendous value from traditional regions, and so he has been scouring the Roussillon for many years now. We can't think of a better guide to this fascinating wine region, and we'll welcome Dan with open arms when he helps us host this event.
As always, Tandem Pairings are the most delicious, most informative, most exciting wine-and-food events in Greater Portland. We taste wines you don't see elsewhere and pair them with lots of great food made by Rosemont's Brad Messier. Excellent people always show up, so the company's spectacular. And you can top off the night with exquisite espresso drinks from the masters at Tandem. We keep the price as low as humanly possible, so that we can provide the opportunity to as many people as possible to learn more about the wines that matter (and to feed them well).
