Howl with laughter, have a great dinner and support a great cause with Family Promise of Warren County's Evening of Comedy, Saturday, March 29 At Hawk Pointe Golf Club, 294 Route 31, Washington, NJ. The evening includes a full buffet dinner, socializing with the comedians, cash bar, raffle and silent auction, all leading up to performances by four talented and very funny standup comics, headlined by Robin Fox and featuring Tim Hayes, Carla Ulbrich and Phil Sweet.
Robin Fox achieved her dream transitioning from full-time wife, mother and dieter to successful, sought-after comedian. She performs around the country, is a regular at all of the top comedy clubs in NYC and is in huge demand for private parties everywhere. Robin has won numerous Comedy competitions including the 2012 Ladies of Laughter in NYC and NJ's Gilda's Club 11th Annual Laugh-off 2010. She's done TV comedy specials on Nickelodeon, Discovery and WE as well as XM and Sirius Satellite Radio Worldwide, earning praise like: " nothing but rave reviews last night ... a number of people who I would swear must have wet their knickers from laughing so hard. Carla Ulbrich is a comical singer-songwriter, guitarist, author and award-winning humorous speaker, known for her humorous songs about such topics as wedgies, Waffle House, Klingons, and how rich she would be if she had the copyright on the 'F' Word. Carla has toured all over the US, Canada and England, been seen on ABC, USA , BBC and PAX TV, heard on Dr. Demento and Sirius XM Radio, and recorded 5 CDs, gaining praises like: - Carla is hysterically funny and a phenomenal guitarist - Susan Moss, Broward Folk Club; ... a really good show. Tim Hayes made the switch from Chiropractor to Comic look easy. Everybody's favorite Dad, he performs all over the tri-state area at private events, fundraisers and top club venues, including Gotham, Broadway, New York and Stand Up NY He was a Finalist in the 2007 Gilda's Club Comedy Competition, won the Sarcasm Comedy Competition in 2012 and has opened for the hilarious Mike Vecchione, Robin Fox, Keith Anthony, Chris Coccia, Vic Dibitetto, Uncle Floyd and Joseph Anthony.
Phil Sweet began doing standup in 2009 after getting the best possible training - thirty years with a large corporation. He has chronicled his view of a world gone wacky at comedy clubs, festivals, benefit shows and private parties from Virginia to Massachusetts, including Gotham, Broadway, New York and Eastville comedy clubs in NYC. He won the Catch A New Rising Star comedy contest in 2010 and Eastville Comedy Club's Next Headliner contest in 2011.
Admission to this exciting and fun filled event is only $50. Doors open at 6:45 PM, dinner begins at 7:15 PM and the comedy show starts at 8:30 PM. The cash bar, raffle and silent auction will continue throughout the evening. Attendees can bid on a variety of worthwhile and desirable silent auction items.
