On a sultry summer night, a beleaguered restaurant owner brings home an edgy and poverty-stricken former acquaintance. Rum flows, a gentle rain falls, and the two circle one another, confronting long-buried regrets. As the charged atmosphere grows, poignant and tragic secrets surface. Peoria is a bittersweet look at two stranded men wrestling with identities and dreams in an evolving American landscape.
