Dances of India's 44th Annual Performance: The Seven Sisters--a Mythic Tale of Deception, Betrayal, & Star-Crossed Lovers
Come and experience live classical Indian dance by one of the US' oldest classical Indian dance companies, Dances of India. Headed by Artistic Director Asha Prem, a 2020 St. Louis Regional Arts Fellow and 2016 St. Louis Visionary Award winner,  President Nartana Premachandra, a March 2021 Missouri Arts Council Featured Artist, and Choreographer/Artist Theckla Mehta, the performance features a selection of dances from the Bharata Natyam style of classical Indian dance, along with an originally written & narrated performance entitled The Seven Sisters:  A Mythic Tale of Deception, Betrayal, & Star-Crossed Lovers.

Professor Patrick Suzeau of Lawrence University in Kansas will be performing a fusion of contemporary with classical Indian dance.

THE SUNDAY PERFORMANCE IS A KIDS' MATINEE--THE FIRST HALF IS PERFORMED BY KIDS/STUDENTS OF DANCES OF INDIA.

**Dances of India is Missouri Art Safe Certified and is following all COVID protocols. There will be plenty of space for social distancing.**
