Cal-Wood Seeding and Forest Tour
ð§¤ððLeft Hand Watershed Center and Cal-Wood Education Center invite you to a community scientist experience like no other! Get involved and help to restore 2020 burned areas by helping reseed prioritized areas and document existing plant species. Well also tour the site to learn more about past, current, and future forest conditions and projects underway. Free experience with lunch included!
Date: Friday, October 1st, 9:00am-12:00pm
Where: Cal-Wood Education Center, 2282 Co Rd 87, Jamestown, CO 80455
(Please meet at main parking lot on the right side as you enter the property.)
AGES 10 and up are welcome to join.
Participants:
Please bring a water bottle, sturdy shoes for walking uneven terrain, layers, and sunscreen. To participate in our vegetation study, please review and complete setup in the iNaturalist platform by accessing Step 1 on our website: https://watershed.center/fire-followers/
Work gloves will be provided on site.
