Intermediate: Bottom Brackets - Members Only Test Class
Bottom brackets are at the heart of your bike - a smoothly running BB provides the drive for your cranks and pedals to turn.
In this two-evening intermediate level class, we'll present to you 5 different types of bottom brackets and how to service each one of them:
1) loose-bearing bottom bracket
2) 1-piece BMX bottom bracket
3) square taper sealed bottom bracket
4) isis/octalink bottom bracket
5) external bottom bracket
We'll be talking about the defining features of each one, how to determine what kind of BB is best for you, and how to install and remove each type.
Class will take place on Tuesday 10 and Wednesday 11 December, from 6 - 9pm. Bottomless coffee and tea will be provided.
This is an LBK Member Test Class - type in your membership number and you'll get the special price!
NB: Please note that you'll be learning on LBK's workshop bottom brackets, not your own. You just don't know what problems will be encountered working on used BBs, and it's better to learn on a system without fault first. If you sign up for a class and then can't make it, please let us know 48 hours in advance to get a refund. We cannot give a refund after this period. We also cannot transfer your ticket to a different date. Our classes fill up quickly and spots are highly prized, so if you can't make it please let us know ASAP!)
