Left Hand Watershed Bio-Blitz 2021
The Left Hand Watershed Bio-Blitz is hosted by the Left Hand Watershed Center.
We will be meeting at 9:00 AM at Buckingham Park on Left Hand Canyon Drive. Buckingham Park is located at the intersection of Left Hand Canyon Drive and Old Stage Road, north of Boulder and west of Hwy. 36. Restrooms are available at this park.
As a participant you have the chance to collect meaningful data, take a mini watershed tour, and learn from local watershed coalition staff and watershed scientists.
We will take a break at lunch time and participants will enjoy a free individually packaged lunch. Science leaders will lead participants in an engaging discussion about how the data collection efforts will help contribute to larger understanding of watershed health and recovery from 2013 flood.
For the Bioblitz, please wear clothes you do not mind getting wet and dirty. Dressing like you're going on a rafting trip works well! We also have a few pairs of waders for volunteers to use. You also have the option to stay dry on shore. Please bring a refillable water bottle and sun protection as well.
Please reach out with any questions to Left Hand Watershed Center staff member, Sarah Wegert, email@example.com.
