PoMo ArtsFest - Slam Poetry Performance
In celebration of the Spoken Word, ArtsFest is delighted to kick off the Festival with an evening of Slam Poetry, featuring members of the 2013 Vancouver Youth Slam Poetry team and poet of honour, RC Weslowski.
The evening will be organized and hosted by Jacob Gebrewold, the 2013 Vancouver Youth Poetry Grand Slam Champion and Coach of the BC High School Provincial Championship Poetry Slam Team at Port Moody Secondary.
The 2013 Vancouver Youth Poetry Slam Team are proud to perform in the PoMo ArtsFest Poetry Slam Night. Having placed as finalists in the 2013 Youth Canadian Poetry Slam National Championships, this team of young artists is highly skilled and seasoned on the stage. This is an incredibly diverse and dynamic collective, making for a flavorful kick-off to the festival!
