Event
Commedia at The Cidery
Enjoy a live theater performance in the orchard under the big tent.
This version of the legend of Robin Hood is told by a lively troupe of traveling players, bringing music, comedy, and much silliness. The style of storytelling comes from the same roots as traditional British Panto, and the puppet show Punch and Judy. Maid Marion has come of age, and now her step-father, Lord Knickerbocker, wants her to marry her fiancée, Sheriff Poltroon, the Sheriff of Nottingham. But Marion has other ideasprobably involving our hero Robin Hood. Jack Pudding invites you to join him, Tallie Longbottom and the rest of the 'Merrie-Makers' as we travel back in time to find out just what did happen at that famous archery competition.
This is a Canadian Actors' Association production under the Artists' Collective Policy".
