"Getting Luckier" at the Fishtank!
Sequel Solo Show "Getting Luckier" Coming to Kansas City for One Performance Only.
On November 18, 2013, standup comedian/performance artist Lucky DeLuxe (Susanna Lee), brings her newest 1-woman show, "Getting Lucky 2: Getting Luckier: Another Stand-Up Show From A Lay-Down Lady" to Kansas City. This show will be held at the Fishtank Theater (1715 Wyandotte, KCMO, 64108) , with a showtime of 8pm. Local comedic favorites will open the show. Tickets are $12 in advance (www.fishtanktheater.com), $15 at the door.
"Getting Luckier" incorporates standup comedy, storytelling, audience participation, and burlesque performance into one seamless show. Lucky DeLuxe (Susanna Lee) has been lauded for her original material, which is always personal, uncensored and charmingly honest. This sequel to her celebrated solo show, "Getting Lucky" encompasses explorations of her experiences, including life as a performer, working in the sex industry, identity, transitions, and self-acceptance.
Lucky DeLuxe (Susanna Lee) has been seen and heard on: Last Comic Standing, Beverly Hills Brides, Girls Behaving Badly, America's Court, and Sirius XM / Rawdogs Comedy Channel. She has performed in the Bridgetown Comedy Festival, Ventura Comedy Festival, Chicago Comedy Festival New York Burlesque Festival, New Orleans Burlesque Festival, Southern Fried Burlesque Fest, Kansas City Burlesque Festival, Colorado Burlesque Festival, and the Show Me Burlesque Festival, in addition to her regular touring schedule. Lucky DeLuxe was a headlining performer in the 2013 New Zealand Burlesque Festival.
