...and sometimes we were lost, but always we became found.
"At first there was a definite barrier. It's 100% gone. They're (Crash) super open to moving, behaving differentlyto being more quality oriented."
In keeping with our season-closing tradition of handing over the reins to an established choreographer new to the company, Crash has proudly placed its unique contemporary aesthetic in the movement style and sensitivity of Ms. MacKenzie's invention. The founder and Artistic Director of Extensions Dance Center and Company joins the ranks as the next recognized artist to further mold and mature the fusion of styles that is Chicago Dance Crash.
Perhaps for the first time ever, Chicago Dance Crash will replace its typical buzz words like "energetic," "acrobatic," and "confrontational," with "quality," "texture," and "openness." Lizzie's months of rehearsals have transformed Crash's high-octane performance ensemble into a vulnerable, organic and introspective experience. In keeping with Crash Artistic Director Jessica Deahr's emphasis on creative challenges, we invite you to witness a more intention-based, less reactionary Crash concert.
Join us as we close our 2013 Performance Season with something a little different.
