Learn how to create a Crankie out of cheap accessible supplies. A crankie is a long drawing that is "cranked" along to progress the images and the story. In this workshop you will build a simple crankie to take home!
Taught by Liz Schachterle:
Liz Schachterle has been creating puppet shows since the 5th grade. She is interested in all styles of puppetry. She was an apprentice at "Bread and Puppet" in Vermont and is the creator of "The Full Moon Puppet Show" here in Minneapolis. Liz has been creating and performing at Open Eye since 2009. She is currently the Artistic Associate at Open Eye Figure Theatre.
