Two Chairs Telling: Forget the Cold, it's Warm in Here...
Let's put two of the best storytellers, poets, and spoken word artists on the stage for 80 minutes with the challenge "can you top this?" and let them explore the intersection between what and why.
January gusts: Gerry Fierst & Mahmoud Hakima
Gerry Fierst is a New Jersey based storyteller of Jewish and world folk traditions, who asked to do Two Chairs Telling in January. Really, he did. Mamoud Hakima's critically acclaimed MN Fringe shows, Two Bowls of Cereal and Some Bacon and Can Michael Come Out and Play? explored the distortions of cultural dislocation. When the two of them take the stage for the January edition of Two Chairs Telling, they'll provide enough verbal heat to warm any room.
