Botanical Illustration: Watercolors
Saturdays, February 1, 8, and 15, 2014
9 a.m.- 3 p.m.
Iceland poppies and camellias will be some of the plants available to illustrate in this 3 part series led by botanical artist Lisa Pompelli. Learn foundation skills through demonstrations and practical exercises tailored to the subject being drawn and then painted in watercolors. Techniques in laying washes, color mixing, rendering, shading and creating botanical accuracy will be taught along with some basic botany. Prior drawing skills recommended.
