Window Plays
It's Storefront Theatre... literally.
How do you perform live theatre safely in a pandemic? We utilize the glass that has been isolating us, keeping us safe.
Window Plays is a safe, socially-distant, live theatre display performed through windows. Audience members will watch the display from OUTSIDE on the sidewalk, with one solitary performer inside the business.
This one-of-a-kind performance will occur over one weekend in the Andersonville neighborhood of Chicago, IL (Feb 19-21). 6 local businesses have provided storefront window space to host 6 performance artists in an hour-long theatrical walking tour.
Participating businesses include: Women & Children First, The Neo-Futurists, RAYGUN, Rattleback Records, ENJOY, and *play. Window Plays is a walking tour through the neighborhood, with live performances in the storefront windows.
Shows are: Friday, Feb 19, 7-8pm Saturday, Feb 20, 7-8pm Sunday, Feb 21, 6-7pm
