Party and Play: A Modern Day Chamber Music Reading Party
Drink, listen, play and expect the unexpected >>Party and Play: NYC's most daring contemporary musicians reading modern music at first sight!
Party and Play is a music reading party of contemporary works curated by String Noise and John Glover. Bring your piece or instrument to be played or play, listen to the curated concert sets, or just come as an audience member to take it all in and even help choose the next piece to read.
Free-for-All Readings throughout the evening
6pm party doors open 8pm and 11pm Curated Readings [ featuring Elliott Sharp's new work Proof of Erdös ]
Closing out the night will be a group reading of Glass's Music in Fifths
Admission is $20 if you purchase online and $25 (cash) at the door. $10 if you are a composer and bring a score to be read OR a musician/singer/dancer who brings their instrument to participate.
