Panel Discussion: Naima J. Keith, Zoe Whitley, Alondra Nelson and Paul D. Miller, aka DJ Spooky That Subliminal Kid
The inaugural program for The Shadows Took Shape, the major group exhibition on Afrofuturism and contemporary art, features the co-curators Naima J. Keith, Studio Museum's Assistant Curator, and Zoe Whitley, London-based independent curator, and Alondra Nelson, Professor of Sociology and Gender Studies at Columbia University, and Paul D. Miller, composer and multimedia artist also known as DJ Spooky, That Subliminal Kid. Each panelist is an essayist included in the 160-page, fully illustrated exhibition catalogue.
