ACE ACETO COMEDIAN
ACE ACETO is bringing his star studded show to The Granite Theater in Westerly FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY!! Here are the bios' of the upcoming show.

Jay Sutay (The Joker)

Dr. Jay Sutay, the self-proclaimed "Hardest Working Pediatrician in Comedy", is a frustrated pediatrician from South Windsor, CT, who brings his tales from the exam rooms, his experience working with kids and their parents, as well as his own tribulations as the father of two teenage daughters to his stand up comedy. His cutting and sometimes incisive commentary about society, parenting and raising kids, has left audiences laughing, and begging for more Dr. Jay!!
Dr. Jay Sutay began doing stand up comedy in 1983 while attending Fairfield University. He was a regular at Open Mic Night at the Treehouse Comedy Club when it was still located in the basement of the New England Motor Lodge in Westport. While in college, Jay had narrowed his career choices to two. Medicine or Stand up Comedy. A chance encounter with comedian, Jay Leno, on October 31, 1983 sealed Jay's career path. Leno's advice was to go to medical school and become a doctor. Insisting that at least after medical training, Jay would have a job. Sage advice.  Comedy offers no guarantees.

Derrick Fonseca (The Jack)

Derrick Fonseca may be relatively new to the comedy scene, but he's already making a big impression with audiences.  Crossing silly observations with dead on sound effects he's become a fast audience favorite at such clubs as The Comedy Connection and Comix at Foxwoods Casino!

Mary Ellen Rinaldi (The Queen)

When she began her career, Mary Ellen Rinaldi took the stage as a stand-up comic performing in comedy clubs throughout Boston and New England. Two decades later, Mary Ellen has transformed into a well-respected and broadly successful performer.
A distinct combination of insight and comedy, Mary Ellen can light up a room with her warm heart and quick wit.
Throughout the years, Mary Ellen has blossomed from a clever comedian to an inspiration leader. Though her message has changed, she has never let go of the uplifting sense of humor and unique story telling abilities she started her stand up comedy career with.
Today, she engages audiences everywhere with her warmth, wit and wisdom. Her themes of perseverance, resilience and the importance of finding life's balance are clearly portrayed through her multiple, customized programs delivering "Life Lessons Through Laughter".
Mary Ellen Rinaldi is proud to have been able to use her intelligence and humor to make a difference. Not only is she a member of the National Speakers Association, but she had the unique opportunity to present her inspirational keynote at the renowned Power Within Conference, taking the stage moments before former US President Mr. Bill Clinton.
Her successes don't stop there, however, as her client list includes well-respected organizations including the American Heart Association, WIC, The Department of Children and Families, DARE, and many more. She's a natural asset at helping organizations to celebrate their employees, improve morale, build relationships and engender mountains of motivation.
Mary Ellen has a gift that not many do. She possesses the unique ability to address a universal audience with an honest, relatable approach. She'll make her audiences laugh, cry, and always acknowledge "Wow that's so true!"Her message is simple, but her delivery prevails. She has an astounding way of making an audience think, feel, and understand all while trying to hold back bouts of uncontrollable laughter.

Scott Higgins (The King)

Scott Higgins could boast the perfect resume for a comedian: in high school thrown out of biology class for doing an impression of the teacher; voted class clown; knee-deep in torment for performing too-perfect impressions of family members at family functions. Finally, in college between studies, slices of cold pizza and late night jaunts to convenient stores Higgins managed to enroll in a theater class. As it turned out, his professor performed stand-up at a local comedy club. When the temptation to perform became way too tempting, Higgins stepped out for his premier comedy spot at Groucho's Comedy Club in CT in 1988. He was hooked: the chuckles and howls from the audience were like honey and he knew that he was somewhere he belonged.
Higgins everyman relaxed style draws an audience in, then keeps them.  His family based observational humor is fresh but familiar to us all!  He has worked with some of Boston and New York's top talent such as Jim Norton, Bill Burr, John Pinette and Jeff Garlin. He appeared in the film "Street Players" a Road Rambler Films Production.  Scott has been featured on XM Sirius Radio and in comedy clubs all over New England.

ACE ACETO (The Ace)

Growing up in an Italian/Catholic household and going to Catholic school as a kid has made Ace Aceto what he is todayinquisitive and irreverent!
Ace burst onto the comedy scene during the latter part of the stand-up comedy boom in 1989.  His first time on stage he immediately caught attention by placing second in a local comedy contest.  By 1990, Ace was chosen along with 9 other finalists to be filmed for Stand-Up Stand-Up and Short Attention Span Theater for Comedy Central (then known as The Comedy Channel).
A Rhode Island native, Ace worked clubs, colleges, and corporate dates up and down the east coast, before working on stage as Demetrius in Shakespeare's "A Mid-Summer Night's Dream".  In 1998 he completed his first starring film role, in the independent feature film "BoxedMan", capturing attention from casting agents from Disney-Touchstone as well as 20th Century Fox.
With his instantly likable stage presence, and ability to walk the line between innocent boy-next-door and biting edge comic, Ace takes his audiences on a hysterical ride, performing dead on impressions of Casey Kasem, Gilbert Gottfried, Bobcat Goldthwait, and Peter & Stewie Griffin.  Throughout his shows, you never know what will come out of his mouth next, as he plows through hot topics like religion & dating, saying what most folks think, but are afraid to say.
Ace has worked with such comic luminaries as Jeff Dunham, Jim Breuer, Jim Gaffigan, Brian Regan, Kevin Meany, Jon Stewart, Dom Irerra, and Lewis Black (just to name a few).  Ace has also opened for such acts as Huey Lewis & The News, Luther Vandross, and David Cassidy.
Ace continues to be an audience favorite, headlining such clubs as Catch a Rising Star, The Comedy Factory, Joker's Wild, and Newport Grand Casino.  He is a member of Toastmasters and is currently developing several motivational programs.
