Maydays Improvisation into devising and script course
6 Tuesdays 7-10pm starting 5th November 2013, £120 @ The Nursery, Southwark
This six session course uses improv as a tool to make theatre and comedy. Whether you are a professional writer, stand-up or theatre maker or this is your first foray, improv is an exciting and immediate way into generating re-usable material. We'll look at how to start from nothing and get an idea, how to experiment and find a rich vein and also how to polish your work.
About your tutor: Katy Schutte recently devised and directed The Watery Journey of Nereus Pike "It's heart beats loudly." - The Guardian, and wrote and devised the Edinburgh smash hit Who Ya Gonna Call? "What the world has been missing." ***** Three Weeks. She is also a Funny Women stand-up comedy finalist and winner of the Brighton Festival Best Comedy Show award.
