Food Sustainability Presentation with Ms. Larkin Murray and Ms. Carina Salaiz
Pollinate is happy to host Ms. Larkin Murray and Ms. Carina Salaiz for a slideshow and discussion comparing store bought food to DIY home made versions, and the impact convenience foods can have on the environment. Their presentation is targeted toward young people ages 6-16 and their parents, and is a result of their study of common food choices. Murray and Salaiz will show how it is possible to make better choices without compromising convenience or budget.
Their presentation is part of the Sow What? Journey as Girl Scouts, where they explore the food system and learn to advocate to influence food policy and inspire others to act on solutions they have identified.
Presenters: Girl Scouts Larkin Murray and Carina Salaiz are currently Seniors at Oakland Technical High School.
