Grandmother Workshop on Making Pumpkin Pie
This Thanksgiving, make a pumpkin pie your grandmother would appreciate. Anya Fernald, esteemed member of Slow Food Berkeley's leadership, will lead a Grandmother Workshop on how to roast, blend and mix fresh pumpkin and then make a stellar pie crust.
Please bring a pumpkin, a knife and a quart-size jar or other container. Pie and wine will be served. Every participant will leave the workshop with pumpkin puree ready to be baked into pumpkin pie at home.
Reserving a space is free, but there will be a suggested donation of $10 at the door. Anya has decided that this donation will sponsor Tamar Adler's work researching distribution models for the Bay Area Meat CSA.
