Today's youth face multiple opportunities and challenges daily! Most young people have been exposed to some form of trauma. It is critical to recognize that exposure to trauma can be misunderstood as "acting out," willful disobedience and other disruptive behaviors. The importance of fostering resilience on a regular basis helps the young person to feel safe in our interactions with them in their lives. This energizing, evidence-informed workshop will assist participants in: 1.Defining and understanding foundational concepts of resilience, 2.Understanding how resilience is significant to youth success; 3.How we teach our youth to cope with stress, control emotions, (re)gain confidence, expand competence & character.
