Open Hydrant Theater Company @ The Point and Deborah Pautler proudly present Dani Girl a New Musical
When Dani, a precocious nine year old, loses her hair to leukemia, she embarks on a magical journey to get it back. Simultaneously hilarious and heartbreaking, Dani Girl is a tale of life in the face of death, hope in the face of despair, and the indomitable power of the human imagination.
Open Hydrant Theater Company is the first Equity ensemble theater company in the Bronx.
Open Hydrant Theater Company @ The Point's mission is to create an ensemble-based, Equity theater company in the densely populated, yet under-served, community of the South Bronx. Our purpose is to produce yearly seasons of creative works based largely on, but not limited to, non-traditional interpretations of Shakespeare's plays, as well as work by new playwrights. We are committed to empowering a diverse group of creative artists, especially the youth, whose work is designed to educate, entertain and help revitalize urban communities. Our most recent collaborative work includes Shakespeare High Executive Produced by Kevin Spacey and The We and the I directed by Michel Gondry (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind).
